Pune International Kite Festival 2014

Pune: This Republic Day, get set to enjoy the Sakal International Kite Festival. The event to be held at the Shiv Chhatrapati Sports Stadium, Balewadi on January 26 will see more than 20 professional, international kite fliers, rubbing shoulders with 43 Indian kite fliers. Kite fliers from New Zealand, Kuwait, France, Malaysia, Indonesia, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam, along with the Indian counterparts are set to provide a visual treat to Puneites.
In addition to the kite festival, the Sakal Young Republic of India (YRI) carnival is being organised for children. Tattoo making, face painting, photo booth, ring game, ping pong, bull ride along with the jumping doll, sumo suit and more are sure to keep children engrossed.
There will also be performances by jugglers and men on stilts at the carnival. Tickets to the kite festival will allow entry for the children’s fun carnival. A specially designed food arena will be set up to offer sumptuous delicacies for all visitors.

The event is being showcased in two sessions. The first session will be held from 9 am to 1 pm, while the second will be held from 2 pm to 5 pm. Entry fee per person for both sessions is a mere Rs 100. One can book tickets for any convenient session.
However, with limited seats available, it is important to reserve the tickets in advance. It is also important to read and observe the safety instructions printed on the ticket prior to attending the festival.
The event, which has been conceptualised and managed by Setu Advertising and White Copper Entertainment has Shivtara Properties Pvt Ltd as the presenting sponsor, Sanjay Ghodawat Institutes, Quest Tours (A Lokmanya Group Enterprise), Giant-Sprint, and Rajuri Steel as associate sponsors, USK Foundation as social partner, Volkswagen Pune West BU Bhandari as partner, Idea as communication partner, Ruby Hall Clinic as hospital partner and Smokin’ Joe’s as food partner.

Belgaum International Kite Festival 2014 - Invitation



Belgaum International Kite Festival 2014 will be on 18th and  19 th of January, 2014 at Belgaum, in the state of Karnataka, INDIA  and will commence on 18th  of January, 2014 at  9 a.m. and conclude on  19th of  January  with a ceremonial  valedictory function.
Please plan your journey and make the reservations accordingly.  We will reimburse you to and fro charges to Belgaum of 2nd A.C. category by cash on your arrival at Belgaum.
Please also make a note that
 
1 )     
Only 4 players will be allowed in a team.
     2)      Arrangements of young ones and / or children and elderly non-kite flying members will be your responsibility.

Our Belgaum International Kite Festival 2013 which was witnessed by more than 3 lac people from the state of Karnataka, Goa and Maharashtra and participated by more than 50 members of international teams and more than 40 national teams.  The great success of our earlier events has encouraged us to celebrate the 2014 fest with grandeur.  We do not have any competitions.

Ahmedabad International Kite Festival 2014 - Gujarat, India - Gujarat Tourism

Often known as the lion of India, Gujarat is the country’s westernmost and most progressive state. It is blessed with greenery, beache deserts, heritage, a rich culture and celebrations that span the entire year! The grandest one being the Kite Festival, organized by the Tourism Corporation of Gujarat Limited (TCGL). A diligent body of professionals, TCGL ensures soaring spirits all around.

The International Kite Festival of Gujarat is being celebrated on a much larger scale than any other state of India. A fact that Gujarat celebrated its 25th International Kite Festival last year is one of the parameters to appraise the popularity of IKF of Gujarat.

Gujarat Tourism invites you to become a part of this magnificent festival which is being celebrated from 7th January to 15th January, 2014. This year, TCGL has planned much more than just a kite flying at Ahmedabad city for its participants. This includes kite shows at various locations like Mumbai, Delhi, Little Rann of Kutch, Saputara (the only Hill station of Gujarat), Mandvi (most serene beach of Gujarat Er ship making yard of old era), Champaner (UNESCO World Heritage site), White Desert at Dhordo (Kutch), etc. The kite festival at Ahmedabad will be having other attractions like Craft Bazaar, Cultural Performances Er Musical Evenings to name a few.

So, just drop into Mumbai or Delhi and TCGL will take care of your local travel, meals and hospitality. TCGL will also ensure you get glimpses of the beautiful destinations mentioned above while you are in our amazing state.

Organize Kite Festival and Event Across the India by Royal Kite Flyers Club





It started as a hobby for them, and soon became a passion. The members at the Royal Kite Flyers Club from Ahmedabad are ready to bring kiting to mainstream attention. They are offering their services to organize any kiting event.  Kites present a unique opportunity of branding and advertisement for anyone looking for an effective method to engage the attention of an audience. The RKFC has been participating in national and international kite flying events since 2008. They participated in events at Malaysia, Indonesia, Dubai and Singapore. The national venues of kiting events participated by them include events at Ahmedabad, Kochi, Nasik, and Chandigarh. These events have been hugely successful in promoting and sharing the enthusiasm of flying kites. Driven by the experience, the club wishes to extend its services in organizing kite workshops and events of kiting competitions.

The club strongly believes in the sense of freedom implied by a flying kite. As any kite flyer would recognize, the practice of flying the kites super high creates an enthralling ecstasy in the heart. The RKFC actively looks forward to connect
with other national and international kiting clubs to share experiences and organize mega competitions. The club also embraces the concept of promoting kiting as a medium for upholding ethnic Indian culture and traditions. Although kiting first started in China, yet it is now a popular international sport, especially in India. The club members are proud to uphold their passion to promote the diversity and richness of Indian culture. They aim to be ambassadors of Indian kiting culture to the world.

The club operates by strict professional principles of member unity. Each member has the respect of others as accomplished kite flyer. The club presently consists of 25 members, who periodically meet to fly kites and discuss the various aspects of this great sport. They are also keen to participate in any kiting event across India or in other countries.
